The Worcestershire Regiment

29thFoot raised in 1694 as Farrington's regiment, became the Worcestershire Regiment in 1782. The 36th Foot raised in 1701 as Charlemonts regiment.

The 36th became The Herefordshire Regiment and later the 2nd Battalion The Worcestershires in 1881.

The Colours are laid up in Worcester Cathedral and Norton Church. There are Memorials in Pershore Abbey.

1970.02.28 amalgamated with The Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment), to form The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment (29th/45th Foot)
